Abstract
The fluorescence and chirality of photoswitchable inherently dissymmet ric alkenes cis 1 and aphtho[2,1-b]thiopyran-1'-ylidene)-9H-thioxanthe ne 2 are reversibly modulated by irradiation whereas photoresponsive e ffects and emission are regulated by reversible protonation.
