Abstract
Two new Hofmann-type complexes, M (1,3-thiazolidine-2-thione)(2) Ni(CN )(4) (where M = Ni and Cd), were synthesized and characterized by elem ental analysis, magnetic susceptibility data, IR and Raman Spectroscop y. Their structure consist of planar infinite polymeric layers of {M-N i(CN)(4)}(infinity). 1,3-thiazolidine-2-thione coordinated to Matom ab ove and below this layers is monodentate and S-bonded in these complex es.
