Abstract
The title compound, C17H23NO6, was prepared from a phenoxymagnesium br omide derivative and N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-L-prolinal in a chemical re action which is an example of controlled alpha-chelation. The structur e of the compound elucidates the chemical pathway of the synthesis pro cess.
