Abstract
Fractionation of an ethanolic extract of Swartzia polyphylla, guided i n part by an assay for inhibition of protein kinase C, led to the isol ation of the known flavonoids biochanin A, dihydrobiochanin A, ferreir in, dalbergioidin, and naringenin, and one new prenylated isoflavanone , dihydrolicoisoflavone [1].
