Abstract
Many adult patients have behavioral strategies that they use either to inhibit seizures or to stop spread of the seizures. Patients who have difficulties in coping with life stresses may also learn to respond t o difficult situations by the voluntary generation of seizures. Theref ore, any complete epilepsy program must consider the patient, the pati ent's behavior, and the relationship between seizures and behavior.
