Abstract
Patients affected by occupational asthma have respiratory symptoms tha t may persist for months, years, or even life. Hundreds of substances have been implicated in the disease, and the list is expected to grow. The authors discuss management of this sometimes life-threatening con dition and emphasize the importance of environmental controls to preve nt future cases.
