The problem of stabilizing linear steady systems with delay when they
are acted upon by various types of linear feedback is considered. Part
icular attention is given to the stabilization of second-order systems
with feedback in the form of difference controllers. When the constru
ction of a difference controller is complicated, a linear integral fee
dback is proposed for solving the problem. Unlike the well-known Kraso
vskii-Osipov method of constructing integral feedback by solving a lin
ear-quadratic problem, the proposed method is based on the Wiener-Pale
