Abstract
A relation between the formulations of the boundary element method (BE M) based on boundary integral equations (BIEs) and the method of weigh ted errors (MWE) [1, 2] and the variational formulations [3-11] is est ablished, which can be used not only to serve problems in the theory o f elasticity but also other problems of mathematical physics.
