Abstract
An exact solution in closed form of the coupled dynamic problem of the rmoelasticity is obtained for a half-space with a boundary condition o f the first kind. The normal stress, perpendicular to the free surface , in the neighbourhood of the elastic wave front is investigated. Copy right (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
