The protonation constants of the macrocycle ramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraaza
macrocyclotetradeca-N',, N'', N''' N''''-tetraacetic acid)were determi
ned by potentiometric titrations in 0.5 mol/L KNO3 solution at 25+/-0.
1 degrees C, 40+/-0,1 degrees C and 80+/-0.1 degrees C, The stability
constant of the complexes of H(4)L with La3+, Nd3+, Pr3+, Sm3+, Eu3+,
Gd3+, Dy3+, Yb3+ were determined by the same method at 40+/-0.1 degree
s C and 80+/-0.1 degrees C. The enthalpies of coordination reaction of
H(4)L with H+ in the solution were given. Experimental results show t
hat the complexes have high stability.
