Abstract
The magnetic circular dichroism spectra of three kinds of new ''picket fence'' prophyrins: meso-tetra[alpha,alpha,alpha,alpha-O-(2-furan car bonylaminophenyl)]porphyrin (1). meso-tetra alpha,alpha-O-(2-thiopheno ylaminophenyl)]porphyrin (2). '-carbonylamino-benzo-15-crown-5)-phenyl ]porphyrin (3) and their metal complexes: 1-FeCl, 2-Cu, 3-FeCl, 3-Zn, were studied. The relation between molecular configuration and magneti c circular dichroism, electron transitions was discussed according to the Buckingham-Stephens equation.
