A. Kaelinlang et G. Niemeyer, A PC-PROGRAM FOR THE ANALYSIS OF ELECTROP HYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS RECORDED FROM THE MAMMALIAN EYE, Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 206(5), 1995, pp. 394-396
Background Electrophysiological measurements in the mammalian eye in v
ivo or in vitro, i.e. in the arterially perfused cat eye, require stor
age and analysis of a large amount of data: light-evoked signals, incl
uding the electroretinogram (ERG) and the optic nerve response (ONR) a
re stimulus-related and have to be measured in a triggered mode, where
as the DC-standing potential and now rate of perfusion medium should b
e measured continuously. Method and result In order to facilitate the
analysis of these various signals, we developed a computer program, th
at allows an on-line data analysis and a trend indication for pharmaco
logically induced changes in signal size as well as efficient storage.
The flexible system is based on a ''labview'' program, the applicatio
n and efficiency of which are discussed.
