Novel applications, such as electrically conductive and transparent su
rfaces on organic polymer sheets, elastic thin-film copper sensor elec
trodes that are immune to halide ion interference and contact electrod
es on top of ferroelectric PZT films, are suggested for chemically dep
osited CuxS thin films. The economicity and simplicity of the electrol
ess deposition technique employed for CuxS films is considered suitabl
e for large-area and large-scale production of CuxS films on various s
ubstrates.
