The electrical conductivity of 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine, 2-amino-pyri
dine and their complexes with Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II
) was measured in the temperature range 293-430 K. The conductivity is
increased by complexation while the activation energy required for co
nduction is lowered. The conduction takes place according to the hoppi
ng theory. To characterize the composition and structure of the comple
xes, conductometric titration and IR spectra were used.
