Abstract
Electronic transmission in a slowly varying delta-function potential V (x) = Sigma(n)V(n) delta(x - x(n)) (where V-n = lambda cos(2 pi n(gamm a)Q)) with inhomogeneous period exhibits the novel feature of re-entra nt localization through the cross-over states. Indication of intermedi ate non-decaying or slowly decaying states present in between extended and localised states at different energies are some of the additional features reported in this paper. A multifractal analysis for the nonm alised transmittance has been used to characterise the different types of states obtained in this model.
