Abstract
The structure of the title compound, DTMP (C15H17NS2O), has been inves tigated in solution and in the solid state by IR, NMR and X-ray method s. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by l east-squares procedures to an R-factor of 0.073. The piperidine ring a dopts a chair conformation. The methyl and thioenyl rings are in the e quatorial position. The angle between the best plane of the piperidine ring and the thioenyl rings A and B are 88.1(1)degrees and 89.5(1)deg rees, respectively.
