Abstract
The provision of adequate radio coverage in mobile radio systems alway s results in the creation of overlapping areas where signals originati ng from more than one transmitter can be received. The probability of coverage in the overlapping area of N radio transmitters is derived wh en the mobile radio channel is characterised by Rayleigh/lognormal fad ing statistics and without the presence of interferers.
