Abstract
The use of hypermedia techniques in agriculture is analyzed in view of its possibilities to make access to knowledge and information more co mprehensible, and to accelerate and disseminate their transfer. A surv ey of hypermedia applications in agriculture is provided and the chara cteristics of such systems are reviewed in terms of information struct ure, contents, system architecture, user information browsing and supp ort. Requirements, future possibilities, and limitations are finally d iscussed.
