The F/A-18 Program Office (PMA-265) has instituted several new and inn
ovative program management tools, including a Program Independent Anal

-18 E/F aircraft. The Applied Physics Laboratory was invited to join t
his team shortly after it was established in mid-1992. As a key member
of this team, the Laboratory acts as an independent technical evaluat
or, applying a wide range of technical and programmatic experience to
the success of the F/A-18 E/F Program.
