Ss. Trostle et al., MANAGEMENT OF A RADIAL FRACTURE IN AN ADULT BULL, Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 206(12), 1995, pp. 1917-1919
In large cattle with radial fractures for which internal fixation alon
e or external coaptation alone would likely be inadequate, a combinati
on of methods may allow for fracture healing. The development of large
r implants and the combination of internal and external fixation metho
ds provides hope that certain fractures in cattle that were once thoug
ht irreparable can now be treated.
