Abstract
The lattice vibrations of barium metaborate (beta-BaB2O4) crystal are analyzed with the aid of space group theory. The beta-BaB2O4 crystal b elongs to space group C-3v(6) (R3C). The vibration modes are classifie d by the method of the factor group of the space group. The results of infrared and Raman spectra are given.
