Abstract
A ''grain coating'' technique was developed to improve the intergranul ar links in YBa2Cu3Ox ceramics. Thin layers of additives such as Ag, S nO2, Bi2O3 were introduced into the grain boundaries by vacuum evapora tion. Notable J(c) increments due to grain coating were observed. TEM investigation revealed that dislocations accompanied by stacking fault s existed in these samples.
