Abstract
In inhomogeneous Josephson junctions the Eck peak characterizing the c urrent-voltage characteristic is predicted to be replaced by a rather different yet prominent feature whose location and shape strongly depe nd on both the strength of the applied magnetic field and the spatial correlations of the associated distorted Abrikosov flux lattice.
