Abstract
A sacrificial cathodic protection system has been designed to provide corrosion control to the splash area and the submerged portion of rein forced concrete bridge pilings. The system consists of a two-piece sta y-in-place fiberglass form with an internal expanded zinc mesh anode. It is filled with a portland cement-sand mortar to protect the splash area. The submerged portion of the pile is protected using a standard zinc bulk anode.
