Abstract
The design of the second level trigger for the inner silicon tracking detector of the SDC experiment at the Superconducting Super Collider ( SSC) is outlined. The main purpose of the trigger is to recognise with high efficiency high transverse momentum tracks in both the barrel an d end-cap. By means of a two-stage analysis it is possible to measure track momentum with the full precision of the silicon tracker. An outl ine of a possible hardware implementation is presented.
