An infant with intrauterine supraventricular tachycardia and fetal hyd
rops, successfully treated with administration of flecainide acetate t
o the mother had conjugated hyperbilirubinemia shortly after birth. An
extensive evaluation failed to disclose a known cause. We believe tha
t in utero exposure to flecainide acetate resulted in conjugated hyper
bilirubinemia in this infant.
