Abstract
In earlier work, we reported on the complex formation of a vinylamine- acrylonitrile copolymer and Cu(II) ions in an aqueous solution. The Cu (II) ion formed a complex with vinylamine units, taking the Cu(II) (N- 4) planar structure. In addition, the Cu(I) ion formed a complex with acrylonitrile units. In this work, we observed the formation of a copo lymer-Cu(II)-Cu(I) mixed valence complex.
