Abstract
On the basis of X-ray diffraction investigations, scanning electron mi croscopy observations and chemical energy dispersive analyses, nanocry stalline and amorphous phase formation in the Ni-Al (Fe, Zr) has been investigated. The effect of the injected mechanical power on the mille d end product has been studied as well as that of the addition of etha nol solvent. The effect of ductilizing/embrittling element on the crys tal-to-amorphous phase transition has been shown, supporting the idea of a critical grain-refinement induced phase transition.
