The influence of different plastic deformation methods on the coercivi
ty of nickel is investigated, and it is shown that in each case the co
ercivity reaches its saturation value at a certain degree of deformati
on. For every method of deformation a consistent value of H-c is ascer
tained. The results obtained on the coercivity are confirmed by electr
on microscopic observation of the microstructure of the samples in mai
n states.
