Ds. Burdick, AN INTRODUCTION TO TENSOR-PRODUCTS WITH APPLICATIONS TO MULTIWAY DATA-ANALYSIS, Chemometrics and intelligent laboratory systems, 28(2), 1995, pp. 229-237
The concepts of tenser algebra and vector space geometry provide a uni
fying framework for multilinear data analysis which simplifies notatio
n and leads to economy of thought. Avoiding too much abstraction too s
oon in defining tenser products makes these concepts accessible. Examp
les are given of the use of tenser algebra in the analysis of bilinear
and trilinear models arising in fluorescence spectroscopy.
