Abstract
The study has demonstrated the possibility of pickling different grade s of stainless steel wire rod using the UG3P+ process, derived from th e UG3P technique. The combination of industrial measurements and labor atory observations has provided information on the mechanisms of pickl ing. The replacement of nitric acid by hydrogen peroxide enables the c omplete elimination of environmental pollution while guaranteeing a sa tisfactory surface condition on the wire rod.
