Abstract
Mescalbean (Sophora secundiflora) toxicity is reported in a dog. Mesca lbean toxicity causes intolerance to exercise, muscle rigidity and col lapse upon exercise, with a rapid recovery upon resting in dogs. Mesca lbean toxicity is a rare cause of the periodic weakness/syncope class of diseases in dogs in areas of the habitat of Sophora secundiflora.
