Abstract
Rational-emotive therapy (RET) is an evolving theory of psychopatholog y and form of psychotherapy. In three main areas - theory of psychopat hology, assessment, and practice of therapy - we present initial RET a ssumptions, a statement regarding current scientific status, recent de velopments and revisions, and recommendations for future research prio rities.
