TRIACETONAMINE GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHIC DETERM INATION

2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidone (triacetonamine) is an important star ting compound in the syntesis of polymer stabilizers, antioxidants and polymerization inhibitors. A gas-chromatographic method was developed for de quantitative determination of triacetonamine and ifs intermedi ates, by use of a Chromatron gas chromatograph and 25-m capillary colu mn, with a SE 52 as stationary phase. As wirier gas H-2 was used. A go od precision, at a detection limit of less 100 ppm was obtained.
