Disease investigation on suspected cases of fluorosis in 88 cows and 6
5 buffaloes indicated that lameness, palpable bony lesions, and poor p
erformance with or without dental lesions can provide initial evidence
of the disease. These signs may, however, be inconclusive without sup
portive evidence of excessive fluoride intake. Urine fluoride estimati
on was found to be a convenient way to strengthen a clinical diagnosis
