Ee. Stashenko et al., COMPARATIVE-STUDY OF COLOMBIAN RUE OILS BY HIGH-RESOLUTION GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHY USING DIFFERENT DETECTION SYSTEMS, The Journal of microcolumn separations, 7(2), 1995, pp. 117-122
Volatile secondary metabolites from different parts (flowers, leaves,
stems, and roots) of Colombian rue (Ruta graveolens) were obtained by
combined steam distillation-solvent extraction. The various oils were
analyzed by means of GC using FID, NPD, or MSD. The chemical compositi
on of the oils extracted from the aerial parts differed drastically fr
om those extracted from the roots. 3-Pyrrolidinol, 1,4-dimethylpiperaz
ine, and various 1,3-benzodioxole derivatives were detected in the Col
umbian rue oil for the first time.
