M. Crisan et al., MARGINAL BEHAVIOR OF A LAYERED 2-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRON-GAS INTERACTINGWITH LOCALIZED SPINS, Journal of superconductivity, 8(1), 1995, pp. 169-174
The self-energy of a layered two-dimensional (2D) electron gas interac
ting with localized spins has been calculated in the Fermi liquid appr
oach. The (2D) electron-spin interaction gives rise to a spin gap in t
he energy spectrum, and if we include the plasmonic excitations a marg
inal behavior can occur for different values of the interlayer distanc
e. The electron-spin interaction gives as the main effect the enhancem
ent in the energy scale of the electronic excitations.
