Abstract
Magic-angle spinning NMR spectra on Li-6 in Li4SiO4, Li4.1Al0.1Si0.9O4 , and Li3.7Al0.1SiO4 resolve multiple lithium cation sites, and, with increasing temperature, show averaging due to exchange of Li+ among si tes. These exchange rates predict measured ionic conductivity accurate ly. Doping with aluminum increases Li mobility significantly.
