Abstract
A case of neuroleptic malignant syndrome is presented in which a patie nt was successfully rechallenged with a neuroleptic agent Successful r echallenge is related to the time that has elapsed following resolutio n of the previous episode. The case highlights the importance of early recognition and, with the appropriate intervention, reducing the high mortality rate among the elderly.
