Abstract
Pulmonary blastoma is a very rare malignant primary lung neoplasm, esp ecially in the pediatric population. No more than 50 cases have been d escribed in children, with none of these children diagnosed before the age of 1 month. Speculation regarding its congenital nature has been made. Although it has a uniformly poor prognosis, the case presented i s that of congenital pulmonary blastoma as a unique cause of fatal res piratory distress in a neonate. Copyright (C) 1995 by W.B.
