El. Levine et al., THE EFFICACY OF MEGAVOLTAGE IMAGING IN THE RADICAL RADIOTHERAPY OF NONSMALL CELL LUNG-CANCER, British journal of radiology, 68(810), 1995, pp. 646-648
Megavoltage imaging (MVI) has been used to obtain digital images of tr
eatment fields during therapy for non-small cell lung cancer. Tumours
were seen in all 33 cases studied and in three cases MVI was used to i
mprove the set-up. It is concluded that in the setting of radical radi
otherapy for non-small cell lung cancer this is an appropriate techniq
ue for the verification and correction of field position and is an aid
to quality assurance.
