M. Birsan et Ja. Szpunar, THE INFLUENCE OF TEXTURE ON POWER LOSSES IN NONORIENTED ELECTRICAL STEELS, Journal of applied physics, 81(2), 1997, pp. 821-823
The power losses in nonoriented electrical steels are affected by both
the crystallographic orientation of the grains (texture) and grain si
ze, a parameter not related to texture. In this article, a model is pr
oposed which allows the separation of the textural and nontextural con
tributions to power losses in these materials. The influence of textur
e on power losses is associated with the appearance of the perpendicul
ar component of magnetization which is a consequence of the presence o
f magnetic domain structure. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
