V. Bermudez et al., TRANSIENT ELECTRICAL-FIELD CHARACTERISTICS DUE TO POLARIZATION OF DOMAINS IN BULK LINBO3 DURING CZOCHRALSKI GROWTH, Journal of applied physics, 81(2), 1997, pp. 862-864
The transient behavior of the electric field during simultaneous growt
h and in situ poling of LiNbO3 has been studied. The transient feature
s have been correlated with the poling of the multidomain seed and cry
stal, and domain reversal in poled seed. A steady-state condition is o
btained after the shoulder region of the crystal is terminated and the
crystal reaches its final diameter. Finally, the critical values of f
ield parameters necessary to obtain complete monodomain crystals witho
ut causing melt electrolysis at the solid-liquid interface have been a
nalyzed. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
