Abstract
The fluorescence intensities in grazing-emission X-ray fluorescence sp ectrometry were calculated by applying asymptotics to the Fourier inte grals resulting from the Helmholtz equation. This approach has led to a straightforward interpretation of the interference of fluorescence r adiation from layered materials. A good agreement between the calculat ed and experimental fluorescence intensities has been shown.
