Fe100-xNix magnetic thin films with nickel concentration x ranging fro
m 70 to 90 at% and with film thickness t ranging from 100 to 2000 Angs
trom have been made. Three kinds of domain walls, Neel, cross-tie and
Bloch walls, are observed in these films. We have been successful in d
etermining the Bloch to cross-tie (t(R)) and the Neel to cross-tie (t(
L)) transition boundaries systematically for each Fe-Ni alloy. In term
s of the Ni concentration dependence, t(R) is inversely proportional t
o M(s), which is the saturation magnetizations of the films, and t(L)
is proportional to (K-u)(1/2)/M(s)(2), where K-u is the induced anisot
ropy energy of the films.
