Abstract
This paper points out a method of finding blunders in sounding measure ments. By postulating that the sea bed enjoys a certain approximation property, inconsistencies in data can be found by a test which allows of an inspection of problem areas in decreasing order of interest. Fin ally a means to decide if the postulate is in error is presented.
