High-spin states in the odd-odd nucleus Br-76 were populated with two
different reactions: Cu-63(O-16,n2p) and Cu-63(F-19,alpha pn). The Pit
t multidetector array was used to collect gamma-gamma coincidence data
. The level scheme has been extended considerably. The features of the
level scheme, particularly the signature inversions in the yrast band
, are compared to the results of cranked Woods-Saxon shell-model calcu
lations with self-consistent pairing.
