Abstract
The beam-foil technique has been employed to obtain decay curves of va rious n = 4 levels in Cu- and Zn-like ions of Nb. The problems encount ered when using different evaluation techniques (multiexponential fits , ANDC, cascade model simulation) are discussed. The lifetime results are compared to theoretical predictions.
