M. Malheiro et al., CONNECTION BETWEEN THE NUCLEAR-MATTER MEAN-FIELD EQUATION OF STATE AND THE QUARK AND GLUON CONDENSATES AT HIGH-DENSITY, Physical review. C. Nuclear physics, 55(1), 1997, pp. 521-524
It is known now that chiral symmetry restoration requires the meson-nu
cleon couplings to be density-dependent in nuclear-matter mean-field m
odels. We further show that, quite generally, the quark and gluon cond
ensates in medium are related to the trace of the energy-momentum tens
or of nuclear matter and in these models the incompressibility K must
be less than 3 times the chemical potential mu. In the critical densit
y rho(c), the gluon condensate is only reduced by 20%, indicating a la
rger effective nucleon mass.
