M. Chicharro et al., DETERMINATION OF EPHEDRINE IN HUMAN URINE BY SQUARE-WAVE VOLTAMMETRY WITH A SEPIOLITE-MODIFIED CARBON-PASTE ELECTRODE, Analusis, 23(3), 1995, pp. 131-134
An adsorptive stripping voltammetric method for determination of ephed
rine with a modified carbon paste electrode with sepiolite is develope
d. Square wave voltammetry was used for the electrochemical measuremen
t. Adsorption of the ephedrine on the electrode surface served as a pr
econcentration step and allows the determination of ephedrine in human
urine in amounts lower than 45.0 mu g/ml with a detection limit of 3
mu g/ml (2 min, preconcentration time), a relative error not exceeding
7.0% and a relative standard deviation lower than 4.3% (n = 5).
